Disposable bamboo pads vs. reusable bamboo pads
Search “bamboo pads” and you’ll mostly find disposables, with bamboo fiber in a pad you wear for a few hours and bin. Next cycle, you buy the pack again.
Ours are cloth. Bamboo terry is a soft looped fabric, a bit like a good towel, and it goes in the wash instead of the trash.

Why bamboo terry
It breathes. Under a plastic-topped disposable, warmth and damp sit against your skin for hours, and for a lot of women with sensitive skin that’s exactly what they’re trying to get away from.
Here’s the full build, so there are no surprises. Bamboo terry on top. An absorbent polyester core in the pads. A waterproof backing on every pad and liner, and on the Super Pad it runs right through the wings. And there’s nothing perfumed or bleached in there, and no plastic sheet touching you.

For heavy days and nights, it’s the Super Pad. Lighter days, a liner. If you’d rather not see stains at all, go for one of the two with a dark absorbent side.
Washing takes about 45 seconds
Everyone worries about the washing. Then they try it. A cold rinse, and into the machine with the rest of your laundry. Hang it up or tumble dry on low.
You don’t need to soak anything or buy a special detergent. Leave out bleach, which weakens the fabric, and fabric softener, which cuts absorbency. Our Wash & Care page has the rest.

Is bamboo better than cotton for pads?
Both make comfortable cloth pads. We went with bamboo terry because it breathes and stays soft after years in the wash. Coming from plastic-topped disposables, you’ll notice the difference with either one.
Is the whole pad made of bamboo?
No, and it’s worth knowing before you buy. Bamboo terry is the top layer, the part against your skin. Underneath, the pads have a polyester core that holds the flow, and every pad and liner has a waterproof PUL backing.
What is the healthiest pad to use?
Nobody can honestly give you one answer. Look for something breathable against your skin, skip added fragrance, and change it often enough. Ours put bamboo terry against you, with no plastic top sheet, no added fragrance and no bleach. For a medical question, your doctor is the right person to ask.
Do bamboo pads work for heavy flow?
Ours do. The 12″ Super Pad holds about 4 tampons’ or disposable pads’ worth, and its dark absorbent side hides stains. It’s the one to reach for overnight.
How long do reusable bamboo pads last?
5+ years with normal care. Keep bleach and fabric softener away from them and they’ll keep going.
Are the panty liners bamboo too?
Yes, same bamboo terry and same wing snaps. There’s a 7″ Liner and the 8.7″ Extended Liner, for light days, discharge and light bladder leaks.
Can I use bamboo pads for bladder leaks?
